“Stay focused and trust the process; everything will fall in place when the time comes.”
Throughout Ainaa's diploma journey, a transformative period unfolded as she seized the opportunity to undertake attachments in polyclinics and hospitals during her final year. Collaborating closely with seasoned pharmacists across diverse departments—including cardiac care, oncology, inpatient and outpatient services, and labs—she gained invaluable insights into patient care. This experience underscored the significance of attentive listening and meeting the unique needs of each patient.
Following her diploma, her trajectory shifted towards the education sector, where she immersed herself in teaching and nurturing children from pre-school to pre-teen ages. Working under the Ministry of Education (MOE), she found joy in navigating an environment brimming with the inquisitive minds of children. The ability to guide and educate the future generation proved to be immensely fulfilling, fostering an understanding of the nuanced language of children.
Simultaneously, during her pursuit of a postgraduate diploma in counselling psychology, she had firsthand exposure to counselling diverse clients spanning from teenagers to the elderly, encompassing students to working adults. She addressed an array of challenges, including relationship dynamics, communication hurdles, issues of self-esteem and self-confidence, and the daunting task of adapting to significant life changes such as career transitions or job seeking post-graduation. Through this journey, she honed the application of therapeutic techniques, navigating and overcoming these struggles collaboratively with her clients. She has a keen interest in uplifting the mental health of the Malay and muslim population.
During her free time, she likes to read fictional books, watch documentaries, play the guitar and walk by the beach, and meet friends for dinner.
