“You don’t have to have all the answers. Let’s begin by getting curious together—about your thoughts, your story, and the possibilities ahead.”
Shaz is a counsellor at the beginning of her professional journey, bringing together a unique blend of scientific inquiry, lived experience, and heartfelt empathy. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Neuroscience and Psychology alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, she integrates academic rigour with practical therapeutic insight to support individuals navigating emotional and psychological challenges.
With a background in scientific research, Shaz approaches counselling with curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong grounding in evidence-based practice. Her deep interest in human behaviour and psychological processes enables her to connect theory with the lived realities of her clients—supporting them not just with knowledge, but with presence and care.
Having lived and studied away from family for many years, Shaz is no stranger to the emotional terrain of transition, dislocation, and personal adaptation. These experiences have nurtured a deep well of compassion, especially for individuals facing life changes, cultural shifts, or feelings of isolation. She understands what it means to start over—and she brings that understanding to every session.
Shaz creates a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where clients can reflect, process, and begin building emotional resilience. She encourages clients to recognise their innate strengths while developing fresh perspectives and adaptive coping strategies.
Currently expanding her knowledge in couples and family therapy, Shaz is passionate about supporting individuals and systems across life stages and cultural contexts. Her style is thoughtful and collaborative—anchored in both intellectual depth and emotional presence. Clients value her capacity to listen deeply, ask meaningful questions, and honour their journey with respect and authenticity.
